Bronwen and Scylla (Part 2)

Thumbnail image for the sheep and cattle dog training tutorial: Bronwen and Scylla part two

In part one we saw how good Bronwen's sheep control can be, and we caught a glimpse of Scylla's antics too. In this tutorial, we find out just how difficult Scylla can be when she encounters sheep.

When Scylla gets into the training ring she's very trying at first, but soon, with a little help from Kay, the youngster begins to show her natural talent.

There's still a long way to go, but Scylla's definitely got what it takes!

  1. I’m really enjoying the Bronwen and Scylla videos! I have a lovely bitch who right from the start has been a natural and very biddable worker. I purchased her full sister thinking I would get the same work ethic and I was taken by surprise how different they were. The sister has moments of brilliance but is independent, pushy, splits mobs and grips. I have been watching Max the Gripper also and it has given me new enthusiasm for training. We had an awesome session yesterday, no gripping and completely calm. There may be hope yet! Love the videos thank you.

    1. Thanks for the valuable feedback, Kate. It’s great to know that the videos have inspired you. The Bronwen and Scylla videos have so much to offer. Isn’t it great when you finally begin to make good progress and the dog begins to understand what you want! It’s almost as if a light comes on!

  2. Haha. I loved the ring show with Scylla Andy.
I was expecting you to collapse when catching her if it lasted any longer than it did.

    Great session. Thanks.
